15 ways to make yourself happier

15 ways to make yourself happier

    • Daylle Deanna Schwartz states that this helps people take better care of themselves, as well as set goals and prevent people from taking advantage of you
  2. Listen to yourself
    • “We often criticize ourselves in our own heads and that brings down our confidence. “When you love yourself, you know you’re good enough that you have to stop talking to yourself in negative terms.” -Schwartz
  3. Forgive yourself
    • Schwartz states that people get into trouble mainly because they try too hard to be perfect 100% of the time and then when they make mistakes, they beat themselves up over it. She says, “Look in the mirror and say, ‘I love you and I forgive you.”’
  4. Accept yourself
    • Being okay with your body image as well as your income. People sometimes obsess too much over their body image. They also worry about income. Schwartz was running a summer recreation business that payed well but she was unhappy in her work, so she found a different job. It pays less, but she is happier with her current job.
  5. Eliminate toxic people
    • This includes clients, employees, and even family members. Schwartz says, “If people say mean things to me, I let them know if they talk to me like that I’m going to walk away or hang up the phone.”
  6. Prioritize Health
    • Schwartz mainly talks about not beating yourself up over having a great every once in a while, but to also take vitamins, exercise, etc, and occasionally diet.
